3 Reasons Why You Should Use an Eye Cream
There are so many opinions when it comes to whether or not you should use an eye cream.
Is it a waste of time and money or is it an important part of your skincare routine?

1. The skin around your eyes is up to 10 times thinner than the rest of the skin on your face, so it needs a different calibre of product and nourishment.
Our Eyelights Eye Balm quenches your skin’s thirst with a plethora of oils including sweet almond oil, sunflower oil and macadamia oil and the supportive benefits of vitamin E.⠀⠀⠀⠀

2. The skin around your eyes is constantly moving. Did you know that blinking alone produces 10,000 movements of this area each day?!
Whilst I love expression, I’m not huge fans of the fine lines it can create! Our Eyelights Eye Balm fights these with every application thanks, in part, to the inclusion of Vitamin A! ⠀

3. Your eyes and the area around them can tend to be the most sensitive part of your face, especially if you’re a contact lens wearer like me! Wearing cosmetics can further irritate this area, so I’ve layered chamomile and cucumber extracts and aloe vera to help cool, calm and soothe this hard-working area of your face.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

This doesn't necessarily mean that you can't use a moisturiser, serum or oil on the eye area as well though.
Dependent on which product you use, it can be perfectly safe for the delicate skin around your eyes, however it differs broadly based on ingredients.
This is where knowing what you're putting on your skin is so important.
My advice would be to reach out to the brand directly and ask them if you're concerned or, to be safe, stick to utilising a product specifically made for this area and keep your use of other moisturisers, serums or oils to the face alone.
Our Facial Moisturiser is ideal for use all over the face and neck (I use it all the way down my décolletage), but some moisturisers contain more active ingredients that may result in increased sensitivity and irritation.
